Welcome to my site!
People are curious creatures and always like to know what's going on. And there is lots of speculation and theories out there about the nature of reality and about existence. I would like to share what I believe.
New information and discoveries changes people's beliefs. So if learn something else at some point, my beliefs will change accordingly. But isn't it the nature of all things, even in science? There have been discoveries in science which later were contradicted by subsequent findings. Or if not contradicted, then adjusted. So I am fully expecting adjustments in the future.
People may ask: how do we choose among all the beliefs? As far as I can see, people don't have much choice over what they choose to believe. Usually what happens is - some believe what they read and others don't. There are different factors (which I am not going to go into) which influence our decision to believe or not to believe something. But the bottom line is: just relax and let your SELF decide. Read the information and try it on, see if it "fits" within your view of reality. That's what everybody else is doing anyways (even if some are not aware of it). I know that all people strive to seek the truth or at least that's what they believe they are doing. But in reality what they usually find is just THEIR view of reality. That's why there are so many different beliefs about everything.
Life is guided by many different processes. And one of the processes is bonding/attachments. It doesn't only happen in relationships between people. Bonding happens in relationships between cells in your body and between your brain and ideas. So, for example, the cells in your body bounce around until they find the right cell (the one that fits). And then they bond with each other. Which in turn creates some chemical reaction and/or makes your body do something. In the same way, people's brain keeps coming across many different ideas until it finally bonds with the one that feels right and then it changes their life or at least their view on things. And of course relationships happen this way also: people keep bumping into different people until they finally bump into someone they fit with and then they bond (become attached).
Reality is complicated. When we try to break it down to simple terms or try to relate it to things we know, we often come up with a simplified version of reality. And being simplified, it isn't quite right. So we have two options: either forget about understanding reality at all since it's too complicated, or realize that we can never truly see it correctly, but at least we can see it partly.
We are also driven by the impulse to put things in order: A to Z. So usually, we don't know the whole story, but only certain facts. And we try to fill in the blanks with conjectures and guesses. But overtime, these guesses are forwarded to others as "the truth". And so this way, the people go further from finding out the real truth. But, people are not really aware of that. And those who are aware, came to terms with that and do the best they can.
So here is my belief about reality based on what I learned so far. In essence, this is a NON-religious view of reality. In this belief, there is no god to worship/obey, no sin, no hell or reward/punishment system guided by god, but there IS existence beyond this life. And there is something at work in this current life that is hard to explain in scientific terms.
